I just wanted to write to tell you how My Wife and I are very pleased with your Mama MANCINI’s Famous meatballs and Sunday sauce. We purchased 2 qty 6 boxes to have with Zity and Sauce that we planned for dinner. We did not know what to expect because from previous experience at friends houses where they purchased no-name brand frozen meatballs that had the consistancy of a tennis ball and tasted disgusting.

I read the box and looked at the packaging and it quality written all over it. We got home a little late from food store and we and the kids were hungry so we followed the microwave instructions. We and our Kids are completely amazed and impressed by the quality of the meatballs. They tasted like home made meatballs and the sauce is superb. You hit a homerun with your product and I hope you sell millions. You have made a new fan and we will continue to purchase these meatballs on days when my wife does not make them from scratch or my Dad in law does not send over his home made ones…You will laugh but I am telling you the truth..Your meatballs are better then my wifes or my father in laws home made ones!!… My wife also agree’s. Please continue to supply my shoprite with your product (Liberty,New York) and we will continue to buy them and also recommend to family and friends.

I’ve been meeting people all over the country and nothing makes me more excited than convincing someone that it is possible to make a great meal from the freezer section. Even after they taste my meatball samples, most are skeptics about getting the same flavor from the freezer pack. Here’s a letter received from gentleman from Solebury, PA.

“Hi there! Normally I would not take the time to stop and
write to someone about their product, unless it
was a bad experience. I make an exception now.

I am a meatball lover and for many years, have tried
every brand of frozen ones that I have come across.
The results have been disappointing.

That is, until I tried yours! These are the best that I
have ever had, sans the ones that an old girlfriend
made from scratch many years ago! She would never
give me the recipe.

Your meatballs are better than most chefs could create
and when thawed, you would not know they were ever
frozen.

If your secret gets out, you are liable to find a shortage
occurring!

Again, thank you for coming up with and sharing the
meatballs with others.

Have a tasty day!!

Sincerely,

Jeff V.”

Thanks Jeff. The secret is out. But don’t worry. We have enough meatballs to go around.

This is a simple and fun dish to prepare. Pick up a loaf a rustic Italian bread and make a simple salad. It doesn’t take long to prepare this dish maybe 30 min? This is a favorite of mine, full of amazing flavors. I am really big on bringing back the family dinner so if possible be sure to share this dish with your family and friends!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. 1/4 cup chopped onion.

4 garlic cloves thin sliced.

1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms.

1 can Italian whole plum tomato ( usually sold in 28 ounce cans)

1 cup frozen peas.

1 pound of bow tie pasta.

grated romano cheese.

Directions

In a large skillet heat the olive oil add the onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent. Then add the can of tomatoes. Cook on medium heat for 20 min stirring every 5 min. After the 20 minutes using a fork crush the tomatoes in the pan to a chunky consistency. Add the mushrooms and continue to stir over medium heat for 5 min. Turn off the heat. Now the sauce is done and its time to prepare the pasta.

Follow the directions on the package and just before the pasta is done put the frozen peas into the pot with the pasta and boiling water and let it sit for 1 minute. Drain the pasta and peas and turn the heat to medium under the sauce and pour the pasta and peas into the sauce. Sauté for 2 minutes this is going to infuse the sauce into the pasta. At this point you can transfer the pasta to a serving dish and sprinkle generously with the grated Romano cheese. Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the pasta. I serve it directly from the skillet but you can transfer it to a serving dish if you prefer. This is a very easy dish to prepare and it is so delicious.

After you make it for the first time you can adjust all the ingredients! Add more or less of any on the ingredients to your taste. I prefer not to add salt and pepper. I love the natural flavors that are created with the dish and just find the salt and pepper not necessary. Its not that I don’t love salt and pepper, I just feel we all over salt and pepper so many dishes that have such great flavor on their own. If you don’t have a skillet large enough to hold the entire dish you can drain the pasta and peas and return to the pasta pot. Turn the heat to medium under the pot and pour the sauce into the pasta and peas and sauté.

If you want to reach me with questions or comments or just to chat you can e mail me directly at daniel@mamamamancinis.com Enjoy Daniel Mancini

BAY RIDGE — Daniel Mancini has made at least one man cry with his grandmother’s meatball and tomato sauce recipe.

The man was nearly 80 and hadn’t eaten a meatball since his Italian mother passed away. Although he first said no, he was persuaded by Mancini to try one during a supermarket tasting demonstration, after they discovered that Mancini’s grandmother and the man’s mother were both originally from Bari, Italy.

The man cried, saying, “I’m tasting my mother’s meatball right now.”

This past Saturday, November 14th I did a sampling of Mama Mancini’s Meatballs and Sunday sauce at one of my favorite markets, Kings Supermarkets in Short Hills New Jersey. I always have a great time offering up tastings of My Grandmothers Anna Mancini’s now famous recipe! Like Martha Stewart said to her millions of viewers when I appeared on the show, “Who doesn’t love a good meatball”.

Well Martha, I found her and her name is Faith. When I asked her to try my delicious meatball and sauce she replied “Sorry I don’t eat beef, only chicken”. She wasn’t making this up, her entire shopping cart was full of chicken! As we’re talking about her non-beef diet, Faith began to comment on the amazing smell of my Meatballs and Sunday Sauce simmering in the pan on the table in front of her. Respecting everyone’s choices of food I asked Faith if she wanted to try the sauce without the Meatball. To my surprise, she said, “No, I will try the meatball and the sauce!”

I offered her up a tiny bite and Faith was obviously very apprehensive. What followed next blew me away. I expected her to politely say it was just ok and move on with her cart full of chicken. But Faith actually LOVED it! She had a second piece and bought TWO packages of Mama Mancini Meatballs in Sunday Sauce!

WOW would my Grandmother be so proud, I know I am. I guess Martha was right after all “Who doesn’t love a good meatball”.
